I was interested to movie world as one of information media that we can see from the function of those movie itself. The function itself can be a tools for delivering message, to get revenue and refreshing tools. In general, movie as a tools to delivering information, where the information can contain many thing that depend on purpose of the maker or producer. Several purpose of movie maker can separate to movie as marketing media, movie as political interest (to delivering social message or vision), and movie as refreshing tools.

How the movie can be an effective refreshing media? movie were visualization media that can play the artificial logical and emotional part on human being. Emotion can describe as happiness, sadness, sympathy, anger, etc. even sometimes increasing of emotion can trigger the adrenalin. How can visualization can play on that part? In human brain, it stored many information that already placed (preposition). Media visualization was triggering brain to recall those information and processed with logical part on those moment which turn up the idea that played their emotion.

The genre of movie can determine the level of itself. For example, the more high level of
complexity of the movie (that need certain insight), then the more high level intellectuality of the movie. But in the simple movie that play lot more emotion from nice visualization
such as pretty girl, sexy thing, good GUI, it become more marketable. The perception of the beauty itself depend on characteristic of the market. For most Indonesian people, Dian Sastro were more beautiful beside of Chaterine Zeta Jones. They more comfortable to see Dian Sastro than Chaterine. The value of the beauty itself were created by other media such as miss universe thing, cosmetic product advertising, and people assumptions.

Back to movie as a effective Refreshing media. On daily life, someone on his routine job that only interact with other people that include just little bit of emotion, then a trigger from the movie can give a sensational effect for refreshing. That argument can fall if on
someone perception those thing were eliminated by certain factor such as someone that more like Hollywood movie than local movie.

Let me tell you little story about the first time I had been paid for brand making. It was around October 2005 when my brother in law give me little project for made his Bistro logo. He was Liverpool operational manager that day. The owner want to named his brand new billiard place called LiverPool. Because a simple thing that he was fan of sport and football (I don’t know if he like billiard or not too ).

The name Liverpool was taken from england football club and word POOL (billiard) itself. Maybe its little awkward but it doesn’t had any connection or franchise from Liverpool Football Club from british. So it little confuse when my brother tell me that the owner want to include little bit thing about Liverpool FC on its logo.

Of course for the first time slip in my mind about the shield element and the bird from LFC logo. Even on the first time slight before he tell me about LFC I think about glass and balls. And then he asked me to come to its place at Caman Raya Bekasi. Then after I come to its place now I can imagine the color theme, the aura, and the crowd of its place.

For this job I’ve been paid for several grand. It was good enough for freelancer like me that day when I was still in college. I finished it for one month in a half for design in several fit and gap for poster design, name card, banner, and company letterhead. But because I was on Bandung I cannot take the production part too.

Nowadays, in addition to all basic module on accounting software, plus point in development are reporting module such as design templates of reporting. Another point, if you weren’t develop the whole enterprise system, then availability and flexibility to connect and interact to another systems is very-very important.
